Electrocoating was discovered by Prof.
Maritzvan Jacobi in 1810 and then after 1834 this technique was used as coating technique
on the metals. Coating of insulating materials with conductive materials became common
after 1961.
The main purpose of the technique is changing the properties of the surface in order to
increase its resistance against oxidation and chemicals effect and maximize surface durability
against scratch and mechanical forces. Beside the mentioned factors, creating esthetic
appearance is one of the most important aims in the coating. Studies in this area is not limited
to technical uses, but is used in the field of art. Today, non-conductive and insulating

یدیلک تاولک
materials such as glass and art ceramics can be coated using various electrolytic methods with
precious metals such as gold, silver and copper.
2022-12-03T00:00:00+03:00Telif Hakkı (c) 2022 International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technologyhttps://ijasjournal.org/index.php/ijas/article/view/3FOOD HABITS AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF FIJI RUGBY PLAYERS2022-12-03T22:40:21+03:00Jimaima Lakog369900@gmail.comSubramaniam Sotheeswarang369900@gmail.comKetan Christig369900@gmail.com
The 15-a-side Fiji rugby team trains well in preparations for any rugby competition but rarely performs to expectations. In order to help the Fiji local based rugby players to identify some key basic areas in improving their performance, a series of workshops were conducted to assess their nutritional status and dietary habits in relation to energy demand during rugby matches. The nutrition workshop included the administration of questionnaires to 19 local based rugby players, requesting the following information: usual food intakes, training camp food intakes, carbohydrate loading, pre-game meals and post-game meals. The study revealed that poor eating habits of the players resulted in the low carbohydrate intake, which may have contributed to increase levels of fatigue leading to loss of stamina even before the second half of the game. It appears that the diet of most 15-a-side players does not provide enough energy to enable them to last the full eighty- minutes of the game.
2022-12-03T00:00:00+03:00Telif Hakkı (c) 2022 International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technologyhttps://ijasjournal.org/index.php/ijas/article/view/1Assessment of Predictive Confounders for the Prevalence of Breast Cancer among Iraqi Population: A Retrospective Study from Baghdad, Iraq 2022-12-03T22:33:44+03:00Nadia H. Mohammedg369900@gmail.comAnmar Al-Taieg369900@gmail.comFadia H. Al-Sultanyg369900@gmail.com
Although breast cancer prevalence continues to increase, mortality has been decreasing as a result of
early detection and improvement in adjuvant systemic therapy. Nevertheless, this disease required further efforts to
understand and identify the associated potential risk factors that could play a role in the prevalence of this alignancy
among Iraqi women. The objective of this study was to assess the perception of certain predictive risk factors on the
prevalence of breast cancer types among a sample of Iraqi women diagnosed with breast cancer. This was a
retrospective observational study carried out at National Cancer Research Center in College of Medicine, Baghdad
University from November 2017 to January 2018. Data of 100 patients with breast cancer whose biopsies
examined in the National Cancer Research Center were included in this study. Data were collected to structure a
detailed assessment regarding the patients’ demographic, medical and cancer records. The majority of study
participants (94%) suffered from ductal breast cancer with mean age 49.57 years. Among those women, 48.9% were
obese with body mass index (BMI) 35 kg/m2 . 68.1% of them had positive family history of breast cancer and 66%
had low parity. 40.4% had stage II ductal breast cancer followed by 25.5% with stage III. It was found that 59.6% and
68.1% had positive oestrogen receptor sensitivity and positive human epidermal growth factor (HER2/neu) receptor
sensitivity respectively. In regard to the impact of prediction of certain variables on the incidence of ductal breast
cancer, positive family history of breast cancer (P < 0.0001), low parity (P< 0.0001), stage I and II breast cancer (P =
0.02) and positive HER2/neu status (P < 0.0001) were significant predictive factors among the study participants. The
results from this study provide relevant evidence for a significant positive and potential association between certain
risk factors and the prevalence of breast cancer among Iraqi women.
2022-12-03T00:00:00+03:00Telif Hakkı (c) 2022 International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technologyhttps://ijasjournal.org/index.php/ijas/article/view/4STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF PHYSICAL EFFORT ON THE MENTAL PROCESSES OF PRETEEN STUDENTS2022-12-03T22:44:03+03:00Constantin Pehoiug369900@gmail.comCristian Savug369900@gmail.comSilviu Badeag369900@gmail.comCristian Boridag369900@gmail.com
The physiological effects of physical exercise on human body are relatively well known in literature, which describes in detail the changes that occur in the cardiovascular system, the respiratory one, in bones and other systems, both during exercise and after its delivery. However, the effects of exercise on mental processes are less treated. From the literature reviews discussed in this study, it can be detached the idea that we can not exactly say that physical exercise has beneficial effects on mental processes, but neither that it would have potentially negative effects. This uncertainty, reflected in the inability to indicate precise and unequivocal meaning, favorable-unfavorable physical effort in acting on mental processes, is a prime reason to undertake a study of the phenomenon influence effort administered physical education classes on the dynamics of mental processes like attention and memory.
2022-12-03T00:00:00+03:00Telif Hakkı (c) 2022 International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technologyhttps://ijasjournal.org/index.php/ijas/article/view/2EFFECTS OF DISCHARGE FAN ON THE DRYING EFFICIENCY IN FLAT-BED TYPE DRYER2022-12-03T22:36:55+03:00Jafar Hashemig369900@gmail.comReza Tabatabaekoloorg369900@gmail.comToshinori Kimurag369900@gmail.com
The study of interaction among the grain, moisture, and the surrounding space (air) is key to understanding the grain- drying process. In Iran, rice (mostly Indica type) is dried by flat bed type dryer until the final MC reaches to 6 to 8%. The experiments were conducted to examine the effect of application of
discharge fan with different heights of paddy on the drying efficiency. Experiments were designed based on two different configurations of the drying methods; with and without discharge fan with three different heights of paddy including; 5, 10, and 15 cm. The humid heated air will be going out immediately by the suction of discharge fan. The drying time is established upon the average final MC to achieve about 8%. To save energy and reduce
the drying time, the distribution of temperature between layers should be fast and uniform with minimum difference; otherwise the difference of MC gradient between layers will be high and will induce grain breakage. The difference of final MC between layers in the two methods was 48-73%. The steady state of temperature
between the two methods has saved time in the range of 10-20%, and the efficiency of temperature distribution increased 17-26% by the use of discharge fan.
2022-12-03T00:00:00+03:00Telif Hakkı (c) 2022 International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology
